Outdoor Advertising and Company Branding
Outdoor advertising is the best way to reach the broadest base of un-reached potential clients.  The first and most obvious place to advertise who your business is and what it offers is right outside your front door, usually in the parking lot or front lawn.  Some of the most effective on-site advertisements are custom banners and signs or promotional flags.  But how do you use these outdoor advertising methods to enhance your company branding and promote what your company does and where you are located?

Here are some ideas for outlining a successful, superior outdoor advertising product and banner printing designs:
  • Develop a killer title!  This will be the very first thing your potential customer driving by notices and the most likely part of your whole store-front to be remembered.  A good tag-line on banners and signs, and promotional flags is what makes these forms of outdoor advertising so powerful.  Banners, signs, and promotional flags make people’s head’s turn, but what is written on those outdoor advertisements is what holds their attention.  In order to do that, the titles for banner printing should be short and sweet, informative, but to the point, clear and simple.

  • Using your banners and signs headline will focus the message you are looking to communicate and will reinforce company branding.  Pick one idea, theme, or advertisement to communicate through your promotional flags.  Too many words on an outdoor advertisement look busy and are difficult to read as people drive or walk by.  Tie this one concept directly with your company branding, either through an image, your logo, or the shapes or colors used to print.  This will allow potential customers to immediately associate your specific business with your outdoor advertising.

  • Be sure to clearly spell out what the message printed on your banner means for them, as your customer.  How does it impact them directly?  Why should they care or be interested in your banner?  How will your business save them time or money that they would have to spend elsewhere?  There are plenty of other outdoor advertisements competing for your potential customer’s attention and money, people need to be told why your business stands out.  They shouldn’t (and most likely won’t) take the time to figure these things out for themselves, its your job, and the purpose of your promotional flags, banners and signs to do that for them.

  • All advertisements need to be visually attractive.  Its the whole idea that if you want people to listen to what you have to say, you need to know how to say it in a way they will hear.  Banner printing isn’t an auditory form of advertising, but you get the idea.  Every square-inch of your promotional flags and outdoor advertising should be strategically used to emphasis what you hope to communicate through your outdoor advertising and company branding.  Your company’s banners and signs, or promotional flags should smoothly flow within the printed area, but should also compliment your store-front, logo, and the surrounding area where it is set up.
