What Modern, Eco-Friendly

Marketing Looks Like

The modern take on outdoor banners and signs has emerged to be LED signs in all sizes.  The beauty of technological advances means that static, semi-permanent ads are quickly becoming a way of the past.  LED screens allow for a dynamic, moving, and therefore more eye-catching form of promoting.  That’s an obvious advantage of LED screens versus printed vinyl posters.  But there are many more advantages...

1. Conserving Materials
These screens are computer controlled, not a one-time printing or painting job.  This translates to a few important, money saving factors.  First, one sign can provide a limitless number of advertisements as simply inputting a new ad into its computer program will change the display message.  This also provides the option of displaying a single promotion at a time, or scrolling through numerous ones in a matter of minutes.  A limitless supply of digital signs allows a business to greatly (if not completely) cut back on their commissioning of marketing banners and ads for sales, holiday specials, new arrivals, etc.  Now that a one-time purchase and manufacturing of an LED sign acts as the backdrop for hundreds of thousands of ads, there is no need for the numerous rolls of paper, vinyl, or gallons of ink, saving both business’ bank accounts and the environment from depletion.  

2. Saving Time
Computer-controlled, unlimited marketing also allows for savings because not only is there only one installation of a single screen, but to change what is displayed on said screen only takes one person a few minutes.  Traditional billboards can take two men up to a few hours to hang properly and professionally.  Computer-controlled means that any one person with a minimal amount of computer knowledge can take down an old ad and replace it with a new one in a matter of minutes.  Not having to pay for professional installation, as well as the short amount of time self-installation of a new LED sign ad takes, money and time are being saved at two levels: no payment for outside help, and hours left-over to be devoted to other business concerns.  Furthermore, with professional installers no longer needed, the positive impact on the environment will be that there are fewer cars on the road.

3. Cutting-back Power Consumption
Traditional, custom-made banners and signs require lighting to be seen in the dark, most often through the use of grounded or hung spotlights.  Other options for a plastic banner is with the use of back-lighting.  But regardless of how the lighting is placed, the point is it must be done in order for the banner to be effective for 24 hours a day.  Otherwise, as soon as the sun goes down this type of marketing tool is useless because it cannot be seen by passersby.  Many don’t see how there is any difference between lighting up a printed sign and the power an LED consumes to project its images and colors into the dark of night.  What they don’t know is that while LED signs do require power, the amount of power they consume is a much smaller amount when compared to the traditional lighting methods of spotlights.  Any cut-back in the use of energy is a step in the right direction in caring for the environment.
